I was craving to paint something so I practiced an idea I had for a project. This is mixed media with acrylic and a little bit of watercolor. For my first independent project I want to use acrylic paint and make it completely black and white. I think I got some good practice for that by painting this.

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautz-ful. Tell you what I told Elli it amazes me how good yall can paint. My strength is with a pencil in the hand deffiantly not a paint brush.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I haven't seen this before. This is absolutely gorgeous. I love your color scheme and the way you played off of the technique that you used in the watercolor piece. I also love how you've developed your own style with the last few pieces (including the project that came out of this "practice"). It's all in faces, and it's all expressive enough to stand out, but technical enough to show your skill with portraiture.
